DESCRIPTION: Annual award for an organization’s exemplary collaboration to improve the lives of those experiencing poverty and opression. 

Who is hosting this award?

Hope with Love, a Christian led 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organization, free of discrimination, which focuses on providing the poor and oppressed with sustainable hope and transformation through the growth and support of collaboration based programs. Is this award exclusive to only churches and public charity organizations?

No, all government and non-government organizations are eligible.

Is any government and non-government organization eligible to receive this award?

Yes, and they will be judged based on the application’s requirements in a manner that is free of discrimination.

Why has my organization been contacted directly about this award?

Although this award was made public in January 2014, many organizations are randomly being contacted directly in order to increase awareness.

Why does the average number of local paid and non-paid staff/volunteers matter?

Because a ratio is used so that small and large organizations can be equally compared with one another.

Do hours count for our remote worldwide staff?

Yes, as long as all of the award’s requirements are met on the application below.

Are the hours of each individual local paid and non-paid staff/volunteer’s counted individually, even at the same time and on the same project?


Can information such as organizations worked with in previous years be used?

No, all information must be current for the award year.

Can my organization list a parent organization?

Yes, as long as there is a separate tax filing and all of the award’s requirements are successfully met on the application below.

When are the completed application requirements due and who are they submitted to?

The 2015 OCYA application requirements are due no later than January 15, 2016. Information should be emailed to with “OCYA Application” in the subject line.
